Celebrating 40 Years of Victorian Landcare

40 Years of Landcare in Victoria! 🌿                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                In November 1986, a bold idea took root in Winjallock – thanks to the leadership of Joan Kirner and Heather Mitchell – and Landcare was born. What started with a small group of farmers tackling shared challenges has grown into a powerful statewide, national and global movement of community-led environmental action. 💚

As we head into Landcare’s fifth decade, we’ll be celebrating the stories, the people and the passion that built this incredible movement – from the early days in the ‘80s to the thriving network we know today.
